Being inspired by……

…Yoko the dachshund.

My love for little furry sausages developed when in the early 90s my childhood friend’s parents brought little Yoko in their (and my) suburban life in the outskirts of Berlin.  I have always wanted a dog but was never allowed one.  But all of a sudden there was a little buddy to hang out with.  She would never growl or bark and was just the most lovable and affectionate long haired mini ‘Dackel’.  RIP little Yoko.

Many moons later and happily settled into married life with Aussie hubby we decided it was time to add a furry friend to our little family.  Aussie hubby ’s research together with a nearby pet shop displaying über-cute puppies resulted in us getting a little mini Dackel…or sausage as I like to call them these days (we ended up buying one of a breeder).  Oh, what a rollercoaster it’s been but how much love and fun they have brought us!

Would I ever be without a Dackel again?

I DON’T THINK SO!!
